Setting performance options for your tablet
Your tablet comes loaded with an option to change the performance of the CPU. This means you can change overall how your tablet performs. Below I will be explaining what you can do with this.
In order you change the performance first, follow the instructions below.
The options you see are called 'governors' or CPU governors. They set how your CPU works.
Interactive
The default governor. Somewhat similar to the OnDemand governor. It scales the CPU clockspeed (how fast it's processing) in response to the workload placed on the CPU by the user. Interactive is significantly more responsive than OnDemand. Interactive allows the clockspeed to stay at the maximum frequency before scaling it back down. However, because interactive can spend more time at the maximum clockspeed this can have somewhat of an effect on battery life.
OnDemand
This scales the CPU clockspeed to the maximum frequency in relation to the workload placed by the user. If the workload lessens, the clockspeed will slowly step down until it gets to the lowest frequency. "OnDemand is commonly chosen by smartphone manufacturers because it is well-tested, reliable, and virtually guarantees the smoothest possible performance for the phone."
Performance
This locks the CPU at maximum frequency, at all times. This will get the highest performance out of your CPU. This will also mean your battery life will be shorter.

I know the above might be hard to understand for some people. So in simple terms

In order you change the performance first, follow the instructions below.
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down to 'Accessibility' (it should have a hand icon) and select it.
- On the right, there will be an option called 'System performance'. Select it.
- You will have three options to select from. These will be explained below. Once you decide which one you want, select it from the menu and it should come into effect immediately.

- Interactive and OnDemand are very similar, however both work differently. Battery life will also vary differently for each. Interactive offers better response than OnDemand.
- Performance is good if you want to use your tablet for CPU intensive things such as gaming or benchmarking.
